Tessa got to see her first movie in the movie theater. When she saw that Toy Story 3 was coming out she was pretty excited (I don't think she really realized what she was excited about, only that it was Woody and Buzz). We decided that we wanted to take her to see it. We were nervous she wouldn't want to sit still, wouldn't want to stay the whole movie, would cry because it was loud and dark, or anything else that could possibly go wrong when taking a two year old to a movie. On Father's day the Dillinger families headed out to brunch and then to the theater.
Tessa settled in to her chair (which was shortly vacated so she could sit on Grandma Jet's lap) for the previews. At first she thought the sound was really loud. But as the cartoon previews came up she started to laugh and get excited. Finally when the actual movie started, her eyes were huge! She would yell out each character's name as they came up on the screen. Needless to say she lasted the whole movie! She was so excited to have seen Buzz and Woody on the "big TV". It will probably be a while before we take her to another movie. But at least the first one wasn't a diaster!

Grandma Jet and Grandpa Rick got a small pool for the girls to swim in this summer. So far they have enjoyed it a couple of times. They both LOVE the slide. Tessa enjoyed jumping up and landing on her bottom in the water. Here are some pictures of the girls enjoying the water.
Come back tomorrow for our recap of July! Happy Monday!
