June 29th marked Tessa’s two month birthday!! She is growing so fast. She is already 13.3 lbs and 24 ¼ inches long. The other day at Target someone asked me if she was about four months…I said, no actually she is only two. The woman looked a little surprised but was polite enough not to comment on how big she is.
We have changed formula several times and recently discovered that like everyone else in the family Tessa has acid reflux issues…we now carry three different types of acid reflux meds in our house, one for Dad, one for Lucky, and one for Tessa. And yes, my dog does have acid reflux! She is doing so much better since the formula switch. She has started to coo and make noises as well as smile and laugh. She really likes it when Dad blows in her face (see pictures in the baby album). She is starting to hold her head up better and loves to sit in her Bumbo chair. She is already sleeping through the night (and has been for a few weeks).
She will definitely be a mover and a shaker once she gets rolling and crawling! We can put her in her crib the long way and in the morning she is completely turned so her feet and sticking through the side of the crib!! Not quite sure how she can move so far without rolling over, but she gets where she needs to be. She is not afraid of Lucky either. On several occasions Lucky has found the need to kiss Tessa’s feet while she is lying on the floor or while sitting in her chair…it doesn’t seem to bother Tessa at all. I think it bothers Travis and me more than her!!
We are definitely ready for another month of changes and all the excitement she has brought us.

Four Months!
Wow!! Two months have gone by since we have posted. It was a busy two months. Let me do a quick run down of what we did the last part of summer:
July 19th we watched Grandpa Dillinger win another State Softball title. She did find it very exciting—as you can see from the picture of her on the way home (see updated Playtime pictures). We spent several days driving to and from
August 4th was Tessa’s first day at daycare. She is attending the same daycare as Greta so they get to see each other every day! Tessa does seem to enjoy being dropped off everyday and for a few weekends, seemed upset that she was just hanging out with mom and dad…
All summer she has started to hold her head up better. Now we are working on sitting without any support. She is getting better, but every once in a while, she will tip over!! She loves being in her excer-saucer and has just now figured out how all the toys work. The first few times we put her in there Lucky seemed to think it was ok to check her out. She has officially learned to roll over and is working on the continuous roll. She also has learned to enjoy being on her tummy, although she still gets upset if she is there for too long.
We have officially started her on baby food. She loved the carrots!! She did get those all over, mostly because she would put her fingers in her mouth and then shake her hand. I think I even had it on my face. Luckily we were prepared and made sure she was in an old onesie and had a bib on. She still loves her bottle and gets super excited when she sees it. She reaches for it and latches on to your hand to pull it closer if you aren’t moving fast enough. It is almost like we never feed!!
Tessa has become a bit of a drool monster as well. Everything that Tessa gets her hands on goes in her mouth and everything that comes out is covered in drool!! She also is getting very talented at "throwing" objects, whether it is intentional or not we are not sure. However, it seems that 9 times out of 10 her binky or rattle will end up on the floor just seconds after she gets her hands on it!
We hit four months on August 29th. At her four month check up she weighed 16.8 lbs and was 26 ½ inches long. She is definitely outgrowing her clothes fast. I am sure she will be driving before we know it :)
