Sesame Street Live

It is no big secret that about 1 kids start to love Elmo. It is a weird connection where they all of a sudden recognize with clarity the little red guy and can see him from across a crowded super market but cannot acknowledge that you (their mother) is standing next to them. Tessa is one of those 1 year olds. It was a random Target run where she saw a book and clearly said "Elmo". We had not watched it at home so we aren't quite sure where she picked it up.

Sesame Street Live "When Elmo Grows Up" came to the Clay County Events Center and my parents were able to get us tickets. We braved the cold and the snow to take Tessa to see Elmo and the crew. She LOVED it!! I can't even decribe the look on her face when Elmo came on the stage (mostly because I missed it...darn sippy cup rolled away from us!). I do know there was a moment of fear and then she recognized Elmo and Big Bird. She was in awe the rest of the performance. Telly did come right up to us and she was able to tell him hi. The show was awesome. Lots of singing and dancing. We took a ton of pictures. I have posted some of the best below.

Thanks mom and dad for the great tickets! Tessa will remember this for a long time (well through the pictures anyway!)
