Tessa had a birthday and turned 1. BEFORE her birthday she became a walking fool. AFTER her birthday she became a running fool and we have been trying to keep up ever since. We didn't get to experience Fort Dodge {state softball} this year, but did get to spend two great days in Omaha at the zoo and the Children's museum. We went to the Clay County Fair, went swimming at the Ankeny pool, and just played outside. Here is what our live has been...in pictures {with a few words...}
Birthday:
Tessa did NOT like her birthday cake. It was rather tramatic...
But she enjoyed the rest of the party...
On Tessa's birthday we had her pictures taken...she really just liked Sarah's chair. She still didn't like the cake.
Here was our final "Camera Card" picture...it didnt go well:
Tiptoe through the Tulips...
We had to make our way back to Pella to enjoy Otley steak sandwiches and beautiful flowers.
Pool...
Our first attempt of swimming outside was not so great. It was like a bath, but cold...we didn't last long.
Softball games...
We did spend quite a lot of time at the softball field..unfortunately I didnt catch it on camera. I do have a cute picture of Tessa and Greta sitting in front of the "shed". I also have a picture of Tessa and Destry.
{I am not sure what was going on in this picture...}
As I said earlier...we didn't get so spend time n Fort Dodge this summer but we still made our annual trip to Omaha. We were able to spend two days there going to the zoo and then to the Children's Museum.
Ankeny Pool
We spent a few hours at the Ankeny pool with some of our friends...Tessa LOVED it! She was pretty upset when they blew the whistle for break.
Clay County Fair...
We saw cows {unimpress} and pigs {unimpressed} and horses {didn't even notice}. What excited Tessa the most about the fair? The purple ball dad won at the midway...
Other random pictures from the past six months...
